1. About these terms
These terms cover the Cruise.do website and the Cruise.do apps for iOS and Android, including Cove. The operator identified in the contact section provides the service. The Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling separately; accepting these terms is not blanket consent to optional data processing.
The current web prototype uses simulated accounts, answers, invitations, and payments. It does not create a paid contract or a cloud account. Terms describing mobile purchases and connected services apply only when those services are released and presented to you for acceptance.
2. Age, accounts, and security
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required where you live to hold an account. If you are below the age of legal majority, a parent or guardian must authorize your use where required. An adult must authorize purchases. Children under 13 may be included in a traveler's party count, but cannot receive an account or invitation. These product limits do not replace local age or consent requirements.
Give accurate account information, protect your sign-in method, and tell support if you suspect unauthorized access. Each traveler uses their own account. Guest use is available where a feature does not require an account. Device access and internet or ship Wi-Fi charges are your responsibility.
3. Cruise information and Cove
Cruise.do is an independent planning companion, not a cruise line, travel agent, booking service, insurer, or emergency service. Cruise-line names and logos identify their services and do not imply an affiliation or endorsement.
Connected versions of Cove may use AI to prepare answers. Answers, source links, maps, forecasts, prices, accessibility details, and itineraries can contain errors or become outdated. Check important information with the cruise line or relevant operator, especially departure and all-aboard times, entry requirements, and accessibility. Follow crew instructions. For an emergency, contact the ship's crew or local emergency services. Cove is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or financial advice.
4. Free access and cruise passes
Cove Lite includes five completed questions per traveler, per sailing, per day under the limits displayed in the app. A failed or stopped answer does not use a question. Eligible follow-ups and the reset time are explained in the app. Free features and available content may vary by ship and device.
A cruise pass provides the paid features and traveler accounts shown at checkout for one selected sailing, from purchase through its disembarkation date. It is a one-time purchase with no automatic renewal. The advertised starting price is 19.99 USD per cruise; the store shows the final local price, taxes, included accounts, and any extras before you confirm. Excursions, transport, ship Wi-Fi, and onboard purchases are not included.
Adding or editing a traveler in your party does not purchase another account. Additional paid accounts require a separate confirmation. Unlimited text questions are for normal personal use; automation, resale, and deliberate disruption are prohibited. Operational limits needed to keep the service available must not be used to disguise a different paid question allowance.
5. Payments, restoration, and refunds
For purchases billed by Apple or Google Play, the store processes payment under its own purchase rules. Cruise.do receives the purchase confirmation needed to provide access, not your full card number. Access starts after successful verification. Restoring a purchase requires the original store account and any associated Cruise.do account; a pass does not automatically transfer between store accounts, people, or sailings.
Use Apple's refund request service for Apple-billed purchases. For Google Play purchases, use Google Play's refund process or contact the developer as its policy permits. Eligibility depends on the purchase, location, and applicable consumer law. If a sailing changes, a charge is duplicated, or paid access fails, contact support with the purchase reference; do not send card details. A refund can remove the access supplied by that purchase. Deleting an account does not itself request a refund. Nothing here removes mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or digital-content rights.
6. Traveling with other people
Only invite someone who expects your invitation, and provide their email with permission. The organizer can manage invitations and paid access for their sailing. Each traveler has their own conversation, plans, and preferences. Paying for another traveler does not grant access to their private content. Removing an invitation or paid account does not remove that person from the actual cruise booking.
7. Offline use and availability
Saved answers, plans, favorites, checklists, and fully downloaded map packs can be available offline. Download them while connected and check that downloads finish. New cloud answers, live information, outside links, and some voice features require internet. Offline content may be outdated. Do not rely on a downloaded map for emergency navigation. Device storage limits, cleared data, or app removal can erase local material; export information you need to keep.
8. Your content and acceptable use
You keep your rights in content you submit. You grant Cruise.do the limited permission needed to store, display, and process that content to provide the features you request. This is not a transfer of ownership or permission to sell your content. Only upload material you may lawfully use. Avoid passports, payment-card information, medical records, or another person's confidential information when it is not needed for your question.
Do not use the service for illegal activity, harassment, infringement, malicious software, attempts to access another person's data, evading paid-access controls, or automated abuse. Cruise.do and its licensors retain rights in the app, Cove artwork, software, and original materials. Your license is limited to lawful personal use on devices you own or control, subject to applicable store rules and statutory exceptions.
9. Apple and Google Play
Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to an iOS download unless the App Store listing specifies a separate approved license. These service terms supplement that license and do not override mandatory store terms. Google Play downloads are also subject to the applicable Google Play terms. Cruise.do, rather than the app store, provides the app's support and is responsible for its content and service, subject to the store's own obligations. Store family-sharing features do not automatically add Cruise.do traveler accounts.
10. Ending use or losing access
You can stop using Cruise.do and request deletion as explained in the Privacy Policy. Export anything you want to keep first. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, fraud, a security risk, or a legal requirement. Where lawful and practical, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact support. Account deletion, pass expiry, and refunds are separate actions. Any rights to refunds or other remedies required by law remain available.
11. Our responsibilities and your rights
We must provide the service with the care and skill required by applicable law. We cannot promise uninterrupted connectivity, complete cruise-line coverage, or error-free third-party information. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by events outside our reasonable control or by using the service contrary to these terms. We do not exclude liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded. Mandatory consumer protections, including remedies for defective digital services, take priority.
12. Changes, questions, and disputes
We will date updated terms and give notice of material changes before they apply, except urgent changes required by law or security. New terms will not silently reduce the benefits of an already purchased pass; any change remains subject to your legal remedies. Contact support to resolve a problem. These terms do not require compulsory arbitration, waive class-action rights, or prevent you from using a competent court or consumer authority available under applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where lawful.
