YOUR EMAIL, YOUR CHOICE

Ebook email privacy

Updated October 15, 2026. This notice covers the free ebook forms operated under the Cruise.do brand. Contact ahoy@cruise.do about these requests.

To deliver your ebook

We collect your email address, chosen guide, request time, delivery status and download activity. We also store a keyed hash of the requesting network address to limit spam; the ebook request record does not store the raw address. Providing an email is necessary because we deliver a private download link to that inbox.

Optional tips and app updates

The updates checkbox starts unchecked. Leaving it unchecked does not affect your ebook. If you select it, downloading the PDF from your email link confirms that optional signup. We keep the exact consent wording and timestamps. An ebook request does not create a Cruise.do app account.

Delivery and storage

Our existing email provider, Resend, processes your email address and the delivery message. Our hosting service stores the request record. Standard server and email-provider logs may contain delivery or connection information; they are separate from the ebook request record. These pages do not send your email or private download token to website analytics.

Retention and control

Download links expire after 7 days. Unconfirmed requests and requests without an active updates signup are removed from our ebook request database after 30 days. Confirmed active updates records are kept for no more than 365 days from the request. Our daily retention job removes expired records.

Every delivery email includes a preferences link. Use it to unsubscribe from ebook tips and app updates, or delete your ebook signup records immediately. Deletion also disables the download links. You can contact ahoy@cruise.do for help. Provider logs and backups follow their own retention procedures.

No bundled marketing permission

We do not sell these email addresses. Requesting the PDF alone does not authorize marketing. This ebook notice is separate from the app’s broader privacy documentation.
