START WITH THE ANSWER

Disney Treasure vs Star of the Seas: the practical approach

The November examples share seven nights, Port Canaveral and St. Thomas. Treasure adds Tortola and Castaway Cay; Star adds St. Maarten and CocoCay. They are regional alternatives, not identical itineraries. Choose the ports first, then decide which onboard experience earns its total cost.

PASSENGER PERSPECTIVES

What selected travelers noticed

One repeat Royal Caribbean guest enjoyed Star but questioned paying a large premium. We do not have a matched Treasure account in this comparison.

The reported strengths

The selected reviewer liked the productions and found food queues and bar service quick. Those details can help you identify what you would value, but do not predict service times on your own sailing.

The reported friction

The same party missed AquaTheater standby seating and disliked some side views. Treat show access as something to plan, not a reason to assume every performance will be unavailable.

The Star voyage date is unknown. The account is self-reported and is not a representative survey.

INSIDE YOUR GUIDE

Useful now. Handy onboard.

  1. Similar region. Different week.

This is a shortlist for people choosing an Eastern Caribbean family holiday, not a claim that the routes are identical.

  2. A Star account adds questions.

One repeat Royal Caribbean guest enjoyed Star but questioned paying a large premium. We do not have a matched Treasure account in this comparison.

  3. Decide the island tradeoff.

If a port is the main reason for going, do not let the ship comparison hide it.

  4. Compare the days onboard.

Both examples contain three sea days. That gives the onboard routine substantial weight.

  5. Use a three-part verdict.

Choose the route, the onboard fit and the total price in that order, unless your own priorities say otherwise.

  6. Your decision, on one page.

Write the actual sailing and quote at the top. Use the prompts to make a decision you can explain.

A SAMPLE FROM THE EBOOK

Similar region. Different week.

Treasure: November 21

The catalog’s official-source snapshot lists Port Canaveral, two sea days, St. Thomas, Tortola, another sea day and Castaway Cay before returning. The example is a seven-night Very Merrytime departure.

Star: November 15

The snapshot lists Port Canaveral, CocoCay, a sea day, St. Thomas, St. Maarten and two sea days before the return. It is also seven nights, on a different departure date.

The overlap has limits

Only St. Thomas is a shared port call beyond the homeport. That is enough for a regional shortlist, but not for treating the shore plans as equal. Ask which additional island you most want to visit.

The order affects the rhythm

Treasure places its island stop late in the week; this Star example places CocoCay early. Think about whether you prefer an early beach day or one near the end, without assuming the published order is guaranteed.
