CocoCay free vs paid guide: the practical approach
Royal Caribbean lists island admission, beaches including Chill Island and South Beach, Oasis Lagoon, selected splash areas and dining among CocoCay’s included experiences. Thrill Waterpark, Coco Beach Club and Hideaway Beach are paid choices. Compare the total price and specific benefit against an included day before booking an upgrade.

What selected travelers noticed
One account in our reviewed community collection shows why the price alone cannot decide whether an upgrade suits you.
What the visitor enjoyed
Cruise Spotlight’s first CocoCay visit described enjoyable included food and available loungers on a day with two large ships present. The writer found the day less crowded than expected.
What did not justify the price
The same writer felt Hideaway Beach was poor value for their preferences and disliked the loud party atmosphere. That judgment is personal; it does not make the area a poor choice for everyone.
This is one selected account, reviewed in our notes on October 8, 2026. It illustrates personal value judgments, not measured passenger satisfaction.

A SAMPLE FROM THE EBOOK
Build the included day first.
Choose a beach or pool base
Royal Caribbean lists Chill Island, South Beach and Oasis Lagoon among the complimentary experiences, with beach chairs and umbrellas in the included areas. Choose the setting your party prefers.
Find the right splash option
Captain Jill’s Galleon and Splashaway Bay are on the included list. Thrill Waterpark is a separate paid attraction. Check current access requirements before promising a particular experience to a child.
Locate an included meal
The official list includes Chill Grill, Skipper’s Grill and Snack Shack. Check the day’s service times and the offering at your location instead of assuming every food or drink purchase is covered.
Make the day feel complete
Add a break, a meeting place and your return plan. If that already sounds like the day your party wants, a paid upgrade needs to offer a clear additional benefit.
